Qualifications

My qualifications in CrossFit and USAW are something I’m proud of, but I’m most proud of embodying the lifetime learner mentality. I love to self learning loop, and learning from our members and other coaches for new and improved ways to communicate advice. As some of you may know, I’m always looking for a tip to give out even if it looks near perfect. I love hearing, “that felt so much better, thank you!” and that mentality and feedback is truly what I’m most proud of as a coach.

About Coach

I started my fitness journey young. At 14, I became obsessed with basic calisthenics and followed a page called T-Nation where I started programming my own weight training workouts which I did before school or after basketball practice. I was introduced to CrossFit by a of couple friends, where I was super skeptical, because of the rumors of bad technique. I quickly realized it was partially true but looked past it for the great culture and opportunity for overall fitness and competition. Average technique has come a long way in the space by the way. My senior year, I realized I wasn’t going to get the role I expected on Varsity ball and became obsessed with CrossFit as it offered a relatable competitive challenge I was seeking. I feel like my best highlights are yet to come :)

Motivation and Passion

I’d consider my biggest strength to be a compliment I’ll never be sick of hearing and always strive to hold true - “he moves really well”. My personality is a perfectionist at heart, which is good & bad, but I embodied the perfect technique mentality from the jump and I think it translates well in a field that is criticized for exactly that.
