Coach
I’ve been doing CrossFit now for roughly 10 years where my main focus was to one day make it to the CrossFit games. A few years ago that goal came to a halt when I was diagnosed with Leukemia at a time where I was stronger and fitter than ever. For a little over three years I have traveled back and forth to New York City to receive my treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. From there, I received two bone marrow transplants over the years after relapsing just shy of a year and a half from the first one. Today, I am almost to my two year post transplant mark for my second transplant, and will be completely finishing treatment November of 2024. Although goals and perspectives have now changed, CrossFit will forever be a priority in my life. I truly believe that CrossFit put me in the best shape of my life to be able to fight off cancer twice. I hope to be able to inspire others, and be a beacon of light to those experiencing similar circumstances.
