Weightlifting Coach
Hey I’m Ryan. I’m a husband and a father. I currently Coach Weightlifting at Capital Weightlifting & CrossFit Schenectady. I discovered Weightlifting during the pandemic and I became immediately infatuated with the sport. To me is the perfect combination of strength and technique. In High school I played soccer and threw shotput and discus. After college I discovered powerlifting followed by CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting. Outside of the gym I Snowboard, Mountain Bike, and hike.
It was at a CrossFit gym where I finally decided to take control of my life. I was overweight, drinking far too often, and unhappy. That’s when I signed up for the gym. Over the course of a few months, thanks to the support of my community, I lost the weight, developed healthy habits, and a positive mindset. I then started Coaching and that’s where my passion for helping people reach their goals began.
